In 2001, the IEEE organization proposed the IEEE802.1X standard for user/device access authentication based on Ethernet-based LANs, metropolitan area networks, and various broadband access methods. This paper first analyzes the working process of IEEE802.1X, points out two problems with the EAPOL Supplicant end state machine defined in the original standard, proposes solutions, and modifies and splits the requester state machine. Finally, the correctness of the new state machine is verified by using example code. Keywords: requester authentication system state machine backend state machine
