Many pressure sensor applications require tight control over performance parameters such as sensitivity, linearity, hysteresis and others. MICRO SWITCH offers computer controlled laser trimming of the 140PC, 160PC and 240PC pressure sensors to achieve tight control, which allows higher performance than can be achieved with discrete circuits. Temperature compensation circuitry is an integral part of the device and is optimized as part of the calibration process. Zero and span offsets are similarly controlled, eliminating the need for user recalibration. 26/136/176PC and 236PC sensors offer consistent interchangeability between devices and limited temperature compensation. 26/136/176PC and 236PC are voltage excitation. The 24PC features larger errors at zero and span, not including temperature compensation. The following steps can be used to reduce zero and span errors to desired values (typically 0-100mV) and compensate for temperature drift.
