There are two dominant technologies in the field of communications: Ethernet in the local area network (LAN) for internal business communications and SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) in the wide area network (WAN). Because Ethernet is not directly supported on the SDH network, when enterprises (customers) need to communicate with each other or when enterprises (customers) need to connect their headquarters and branches to the same LAN network, the interconnection problem arises. The purpose of this research project is to study the technical difficulties and the complexity of protocol implementation in the implementation process of EoS (Ethernet over SDH), and propose a simple, fast and efficient protocol implementation method. The main focus is on the key technologies related to protocol frame mapping in the EoS system, such as: custom frame structure, frame positioning, full digital phase locking technology, flow control technology, etc., and finally complete the design of these key technology modules in EoS. This project briefly analyzes the protocol frame structure related to the EoS system and the principle of the EoS system, and explains the implementation method of FPGA technology. The focus is on using the industry\'s most advanced EDA tools to implement frame mapping technology in the EoS system. The system adopts a simplified point-to-point implementation scheme, directly encapsulates Ethernet data frames in HDLC frame format, uses multi-channel E1 channels to carry complete HIDLC frames to map HDLC frames to E1 channels, and then uses a single channel to carry multiple complete E1 frames to map E1 to SDH channels, thereby effectively mapping Ethernet frames to SDH loads and realizing \"transparent LAN services\". This will be of great significance for carrying Ethernet on existing SDH transmission equipment and developing wide area connection equipment for Ethernet.
