Using the AD5292 Digital Potentiometer to Build a 30V Low-Cost DAC

The circuit shown in Figure 1 uses the AD5292 digiPOT+ series digital potentiometer, the ADA4091-2 dual op amp, and the ADR512 voltage reference to provide a low cost, high voltage, unipolar DAC. The circuit provides 10-bit resolution, an output voltage range of 0 V to 30 V, and is capable of providing output currents up to ±20 mA. The AD5292 can be programmed through an SPI-compatible serial interface.
