Zhanjiang Power Plant has 4×300 MW units, the generator model is QFSN-300-2-20, and the active power displayed on the BTG and CRT of the generator is from the generator 1PT. The steam turbine model is N300-16.7/537/537-3 combined cylinder, the speed control system is electro-hydraulic coexistence control, and has a power measurement circuit. At 10:50 on November 18, 2001, the steam turbine power circuit of the No. 3 generator unit was put into use, with a load of 190 MW and a high-voltage regulating valve opening of 130 mm. Suddenly, the generator electrical panel issued a \"1PT disconnection\" light-letter sign alarm, and the power generation voltage on the electrical panel dropped from 20 kV to 14 kV. The generator active meter and the active power display of the steam turbine and boiler on the CRT all dropped from 190 MW to 120 MW. The high-pressure regulating valve of the steam turbine was opened from 130 mm to the full open position (200 mm), the steam turbine screamed, and the load at the main transformer outlet of the generator increased from 190 MW to 220 MW. The steam pressure, steam temperature and water level of the boiler all fluctuated greatly.
