The TLC1524 and TLC1543 are CMOS, 10-bit switched capacitor successive approximation analog-to-digital converters. These devices have three inputs and one 3-state output [chip select (CS), input/output clock (I/O CLOCK), address input (ADDERSS), and data output (DATA OUT)], which allow a direct 4-wire interface to the serial port of a host processor. These devices can transfer data from the host at high speed. In addition to the high-speed converter and general control capabilities, these devices have an on-chip 14-channel multiplexer that can select any of the 11 inputs or one of the three internal self-test (SELF TEST) voltages. The hold is automatic. At the end of the conversion, the "end of conversion" (EOC) output goes high to indicate the completion of the conversion. The converters in these devices, combined with the external input differential high-impedance reference voltage, have the advantage of simplifying ratiometric conversion, scaling, and isolation of analog circuits from logic circuits and power supply noise. The switched capacitor design allows for small conversion errors over the entire temperature range.
