Based on the concept of business rule management technology, this article compares the ILOG JRules engine with the currently popular open source Drools engine, and analyzes the working process of the ILOG JRules engine in accordance with the JSR94 standard, and explains the advantages of ILOG JRules as one of the leading commercial BRMS products in the world. Information technology is the foundation for the enterprise to implement business strategy initiatives. As the enterprise is increasingly dependent on information technology, the applications developed by the enterprise IT department are becoming more and more complex, and changes and modifications are becoming more and more frequent. Business rule management (Business Rule Management - BRM) is rapidly becoming the best practice solution to solve the above problems. If a business rule is a description, constraint or control of a certain aspect of a business, then business rule management is a set of policies and processes for the enterprise to control business rules during the business rule life cycle. ILOG JRules is a complete business rule management system (BRMS) for the Java environment. It provides all the necessary tools for managing business rules for the entire enterprise, including rule modeling, rule writing, rule testing, rule deployment and rule maintenance. ILOG BRMS also provides a rule base mechanism for organizing and storing business rules and a rule engine for executing these rules. ILOG JRules is flexible enough to work in almost any Java environment.
