A new type of low-cost single-phase online uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is proposed. The system includes a rectifier/boost converter with power factor correction (PFC) function and a two-leg inverter connected to the DC-Link bus. The battery pack can be directly connected to the DC-Link bus through a very simple system. The 6-switch architecture reduces the cost compared to the traditional 8-switch full-bridge topology system. Even under nonlinear loads, the system still has the characteristics of high power density and high-quality output voltage. Finally, the circuit operation, analysis, simulation and experimental results are described in detail.
