This paper discusses the development process of a virtual oscilloscope, which is programmed using Labview\'s unique graphical G language and uses the ordinary sound card configured on our PC to replace the professional data acquisition card for data acquisition. The paper focuses on the design of the oscilloscope\'s data acquisition, trigger control, time base and amplitude control, phase difference measurement, frequency and peak-to-peak value measurement, waveform storage and playback and other functional modules.
