1 Concept of CDMA system CDMA system is a communication system based on code division technology (spread spectrum technology) and multiple access technology. The system assigns each user a specific address code. The address codes are mutually quasi-orthogonal, so they can overlap in time, space and frequency. The information data with a certain signal bandwidth to be transmitted is modulated with a pseudo-random code with a bandwidth much larger than the signal bandwidth, so that the bandwidth of the original data signal is expanded. The receiving end performs the reverse process to connect and expand, which enhances the anti-interference ability. CDMA system belongs to the sub-interference system. 2 CDMA system time: System zero time: January 6, 1980 0:00 is defined as the system start time. The long code and short code with zero offset are in the initial state at the same time. All base stations will use the starting moment of each even second of GPS time (or at an integer multiple of 80ms thereafter) as the initial state of the 0 offset PN code (with a period of 80/3 ms), that is, just before that, 1 \"1\" and 15 consecutive \"0\" PN code chips are output. All base stations need to use 0:00 on January 6, 1980 (GPS starting time) as the initial state of the m-sequence long code (just before that, one \"1\" code chip and 41 consecutive \"0\" code chips are output). Advantages of using GPS timing: fast switching and simple synchronization. 3 Disadvantages of CDMA system: The spread spectrum sequences from different users in the asynchronous CDMA network are not completely orthogonal, which causes multiple access interference; due to the use of the same carrier frequency, many users share a channel, and strong signals have a significant inhibitory effect on weak signals, resulting in a \"far-near\" effect, affecting user calls. Power control technology is used in CDMA system to solve the \"far-forward\" effect 4 Frequency usage planning of CDMA system in my country Carrier frequencies occupied by China Unicom New Space CDMA Uplink (825MHz-835MHz) Downlink (870MHz-880MHz) Carrier frequency calculation: Uplink: carrier frequency = 0.030MHz*carrier frequency number + 825.000MHz Downlink: carrier frequency = 0.030MHz*carrier frequency number + 870.000MHz Carrier frequency number Channel number Uplink (MHz) Downlink (MHz) 7 283 833.49 878.496 242 832.26 877.265 201 831.03 876.034 160 829.80 874.803 119 828.57 873.572 78 827.34 872.341 37 826.11 871.11 CDMA System Engineering Manual
