MK9A35EP has a dual clock operation mode, and the user can set bits 0~3 of the configuration register as required. OSCIN/OSCOUT of the high-speed clock can be used to connect an external NT oscillator mode, an external R oscillator, or an internal 500KHz RC oscillator through configuration options. When the user selects the internal 500KHz RC oscillator mode, these two pins can be used as KI or I/O port (PA). The same is true for XIN/XOUT of the low-speed clock, they can be used to connect an external LP oscillator mode or an internal 32KHz RC oscillator. When the user selects the internal 32KHz RC oscillator, these two pins can be used as I/O port (PB). The clock mode can be selected through the configuration bits. Once the dual clock mode is selected, the user can switch between high and low speed clocks by setting bit 7 of SYS_CTL ($3Eh), or turn on/off these clock sources individually by setting bits 0~1. The clock oscillation diagram is as follows
