Sensor nodes are generally powered by batteries with limited energy, so the power consumption of nodes has always been one of the bottlenecks restricting the application of wireless sensor networks. This paper designs a sensor node for oil pipeline leak detection. Based on a large number of experiments, it deeply analyzes the power consumption under different working conditions, and conducts targeted low-power optimization design of software and hardware, which greatly extends the working life of the sensor node. The experiment shows that the design has extremely low power consumption. If it is powered by an ordinary button battery, it can work stably for more than four years, meeting the practical requirements of oil pipeline leak detection on site.
