In view of the fact that conventional Capon beamforming is easily affected by the mismatch of the desired signal steering vector, this paper studies a robust Capon adaptive beamforming algorithm based on the uncertainty set of the steering vector error. The approximate closed-form solution of the adaptive weight vector when the desired signal steering vector belongs to the spherical uncertainty set is derived, and the performance is evaluated based on it. The approximate expressions of the target power estimation and the output signal interference noise ratio are obtained, thereby clarifying the influence of various factors on the performance. The computer simulation results prove the rationality of the analysis in this paper.
