Design Method of Microwave Resonant Cavity and Heating Cavity Design Method of Microwave Resonant Cavity and Heating Cavity Qun Wu Department of Electronic and Communication Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, 92 Xidazhi Street, Harbin, 150001, China Tel: 0451-6413504 Email: qwu@public.hr.hl.cn Abstract This paper uses the ANSOFT electromagnetic field software package to take the design of TE103 single-mode microwave heating cavity and microwave oven magnetron as examples to discuss the application of computer simulation. The use of computational simulation can clearly analyze the field distribution relationship in the cavity when different heating materials are used and the optimal design of the coupling window size. According to the computational simulation results, the cavity size, the optimal position of the heating material and the coupling window size can be designed more accurately. Keywords: Resonant cavity microwave energy heating simulation Introduction In the design of heaters for microwave energy applications, it is necessary to solve the problem of uniform energy distribution in the microwave resonant cavity [1][2] and the prediction of three-dimensional electromagnetic fields [3], so as to achieve the optimal design. ANSOFT electromagnetic field software package (MaxwellEminice) is a commercial electromagnetic field simulation software suitable for the analysis and calculation of various complex electromagnetic field problems. Its algorithm adopts the finite element method, that is, it is based on the variational principle and regional partitioning and interpolation. According to the variational principle, the variational problem equivalent to the boundary value problem of the differential equation is obtained (usually the functional extreme value problem), and then the functional extreme value problem is transformed into a set of multivariate linear algebraic equations through partition interpolation. The key steps of the solution are solid modeling, meshing, finite element numerical solution and post-processing. After data processing, the projection display or animation display of the field distribution diagram of the simulated structure and the distance/value diagram of the field solution can be given. It has powerful analysis functions. Designers can analyze and calculate the entire part,...
