The spot centroid detection system is one of the key technologies of the APT precision tracking servo system. Most of the current spot detection systems are based on PCs, which have problems with high-speed real-time performance and stability. Based on the summary of various detection algorithms, this paper proposes an image processing algorithm based on FPGA to achieve high-speed real-time detection of the center of the laser spot. The 3×3 window module and adaptive threshold module are mainly used in this paper. The CCD input data is first processed to determine the range of the spot, and then the spot centroid algorithm is used to calculate the pixels occupied by the spot to obtain the off-target amount of the spot position, and finally the image is displayed on the LCD in VGA format. This paper achieves the technical indicators of off-target amount frame rate of 3000 frames/s and accuracy of 2urad, achieving high-speed and high-precision precision tracking requirements.
