In view of the rapid development of network control technology in the current industrial control field, this paper presents a design scheme for an embedded system based on Linux for measurement and control systems. By using the conditional compilation system provided by Linux itself, some problems faced by Linux as an embedded operating system are preliminarily solved. The real-time application interface (RTAI) is used to enhance the real-time performance of Linux, and the real-time hardware abstraction layer structure (RTHAL) is introduced. The kernel module mechanism of Linux is used to provide real-time services and complete real-time tasks, solving the problem of insufficient real-time performance of Linux. Through the implementation of the data acquisition program, a design method for developing real-time applications in the RTAI-Linux environment is presented. The problem of lack of real time capability of Linux is resovled.
