Image display is one of the important means for humans to receive external information. Stereoscopic display can reproduce the three-dimensional information of the scene, provide more comprehensive and detailed information about the scene, and has broad application prospects in medicine, military and entertainment. The existing 3D stereoscopic display devices are relatively expensive. Based on this, I studied the 3D helmet display device based on SDRAM memory and FPGA processor and designed the hardware and software system. The system has good image effect and low price, so it has greater practicality. The main work completed in this paper is three points: 1. Designed a 3D helmet display based on FPGA processor and SDRAM memory. This solution is different from the existing solutions based on MCU, DSP and other processing chips. This solution can convert the resolution of 1024×768 into 800×600 through linear interpolation algorithm, and can achieve 120HZ image refresh rate. It uses SDRAM as high-speed memory and adopts ping-pong operation, which is different from other switching left and right eye videos to achieve stereoscopic images. In this solution, the left and right eye videos are output at the same time at all times, so that the user does not feel any flickering of the video image, reducing eye fatigue. This solution also realizes image contrast adjustment, LCD front light adjustment (adjusting the duty cycle of output pulses), automatic identification of stereo image sources, and humanized operation interface (OSD) function. 2. The hardware platform design and software design of the system are completed. From the perspective of portability, the PCB board area is minimized as much as possible, and their detailed hardware design circuit diagrams are given. The design of the FPGA system is completed, including the overall analysis of the system, the implementation principles of each module and the specific implementation methods. The configuration design of the single chip microcomputer for AD9883 is completed. 3. The various tests and debugging of this solution are completed, mainly including: data acquisition part test, data storage part test, FPGA device working state test, online debugging with a computer monitor as a display and online debugging with HX7015A as a display, and finally the debugging is passed, and all functions meet the requirements of the expected design. The experimental and analysis results demonstrate the rationality and use value of the system design. The research and implementation work of this paper has been verified through experiments and analysis. The results show that the 3D helmet display system composed of FPGA and SDRAM proposed in this paper can fully achieve high-quality stereoscopic visual effects, so that this cheap 3D helmet display system can be used in the fields required by my country\'s modernization construction.
