The power spectrum estimation method is used to accurately extract the human respiratory frequency and heart rate from the pulse signal. The results show that the resting heart rate of normal people varies greatly, generally ranging from 0.625 to 1.615 Hz (average is 1.025 Hz), and the respiratory frequency varies in a wide range (8.5 to 21.2 times/min for men and 12.4 to 26.5 times/min for women). The power spectrum energy and distribution of four types of human pulse signals are calculated and compared, providing a basis for revealing the mechanism of the influence of breathing on the pulse and estimating the stability of the heart rate.
