The paper first describes and summarizes the commonly used analysis methods of PA, including linearity and efficiency. The key difference between power amplifiers and small signal amplifiers in design is power matching. On this basis, the relationship between the optimal matching impedance and transistor electrical parameters when meeting the maximum output capacity of the PA is analyzed. Then, the traction characteristic contours of the transistor caused by the non-optimal load impedance are explained, which is also an important tool for the design of matching methods for power amplifiers. Finally, the mathematical model used in the nonlinear distortion analysis of power amplifiers is analyzed.
