Design of smart antenna for 3G system Abstract: According to the technical specifications of the 3G system standard (TD-SCDMA) proposed by my country, this paper proposes a design scheme of smart antenna for 3G system base station. The concept of smart antenna is introduced in the design, and the circular array structure is adopted. The performance of the array element and the array is optimized by combining the optimization algorithm and the method of moments, and the design scheme is analyzed by system simulation. The simulation results meet the design index requirements, thus proving the feasibility of the design scheme. First of all, 3G The system frequency utilization rate should be high, and it should be able to adapt to the requirements of broadband services in high-service density areas, so that the high-service density areas can achieve the same service quality with fewer base stations; secondly, it should have good wireless coverage performance, so that low-service density areas can achieve the same coverage. Both aspects put forward high requirements for mobile communication system base stations. Therefore, the research work on improving the performance of system base station antennas is particularly critical and important.
