Is the baud rate for communication between microcontrollers set in advance? Or calculated? Also, why does the crystal oscillator have
a value of 11.0592M? Common frequencies are 4M, 8M, 12M, 16M, and 24M.

Is the baud rate for communication between microcontrollers set in advance or calculated? You cannot set the baud rate arbitrarily, otherwise it will not be able to communicate with other devices such as PCs. Common baud rates are 600, 1200, 2400... If you insist on using a baud rate of 2850, your two devices can communicate with each other, but they cannot communicate with other devices.   Details Published on 2020-4-28 17:13

The 11.0592MHz local oscillator frequency is unique to the MCS51 series and is calculated based on the baud rate requirements. The history of serial ports and baud rates is much earlier than that of 51, so 51 needs to be compatible with the standard, so there are non-integer local oscillator frequencies.
