This article makes full use of the advantages of infrared sensors and develops a mobile robot sensing system based on infrared sensors. The sensing system consists of a ranging system based on a discrete reflective infrared sensor, a guidance system based on an integrated reflective infrared sensor, and a tracking system based on a pyroelectric infrared sensor. The article completes the hardware and software design of the sensing system and conducts detailed theoretical and experimental research. The experimental results show that the system designed in the article has a simple structure, high precision, high reliability, and low cost, and has universal application significance and wide application value. The sensing system has been well applied in the obstacle avoidance and navigation of mobile robots.
