The differential absorption spectral absorption type fiber optic gas sensor was studied. Based on the spectral absorption characteristics of NO2, a fiber optic sensing system for detecting NO2 concentration was designed. LED was used as the light source, and dual-wavelength differential detection technology was adopted to effectively eliminate the detection error caused by the instability of the light source, optical fiber and sensor head, improve the detection sensitivity, and greatly increase the applicability of the sensor. In the fields of industrial production and environmental testing, it is often necessary to detect and control the composition, volume fraction and other parameters of various gases. Based on the spectral absorption characteristics of NO2, this paper designed a fiber optic sensing system for detecting NO2 concentration. Dual-wavelength differential detection technology was used to effectively eliminate the detection error caused by the instability of the light source, optical fiber and sensor head, improve the detection sensitivity, and greatly increase the applicability of the sensor. At the same time, it has all the advantages of fiber optic sensors: intrinsic safety, anti-electromagnetic interference, high sensitivity, fast response speed, especially the characteristics of the sensor head being non-electrical and intrinsically explosion-proof, which can be used for industrial online detection of flammable and explosive gases.
