This article introduces the software and hardware design of the LED bar graph display system using the STC89C58RD+ microcontroller as the main control chip and the GPRS module SIM300 as the short message receiver. Among them, the microcontroller is equivalent to the \"nerve center\" of the entire system. It must not only read and delete the short messages received by the GPRS module through the serial port under the AT command and process them, but also control the bar screen to display the corresponding information. The emergence of GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) makes full use of the existing GSM network. It is not only suitable for intermittent, sudden or frequent, small amounts of data transmission, but also for occasional large amounts of data transmission. It combines mobile communications and data networks. It uses a set of wireless transmission methods developed by the concept of \"packet switching\" to efficiently utilize the existing radio spectrum and provide users with services with the fastest data transmission rate of 115kb/s. In view of the current development of the network and the rapid popularization of short messages, it has become possible to use mobile phones to control LEDs to display public information such as advertisements and news. There are many technologies for controlling the in-vehicle small-screen display using SMS, but only a few can display small pictures. In response to this situation, this article designs a software and hardware design system for in-vehicle small-screen advertising that can display Chinese characters and some simple pictures.
