This article mainly introduces the third-order intermodulation intercept point (IP3) measurement method. Keywords: Linearity, Distortion, Third-order Intermodulation Intercept Point, IP3 1. Introduction In RF or microwave multi-carrier communication systems, the third-order intermodulation intercept point IP3 (Third-order Intercept Point) is an important indicator for measuring linearity or distortion. Intermodulation distortion will cause crosstalk between adjacent channels for analog microwave communication, and will reduce the spectrum utilization of the system and worsen the bit error rate for digital microwave communication. Therefore, the larger the capacity of the system, the higher the IP3 required. The higher the IP3, the better the linearity and less distortion. This paper mainly introduces the measurement method of the third-order intermodulation intercept point (IP3). 2. Calculation of the third-order intermodulation intercept point IP3 is usually tested with two input audios. The audio here is different from the audio in low-frequency electronic circuits. In fact, it is two relatively close RF or microwave frequencies, expressed by formula (1): Special recommendation information: ★ A lot of experts will give their opinions on the spot!
