Using Ansoft Software and Matlab to Construct a Universal Simulation Platform for Wireless Systems Using Ansoft Software and Matlab to Construct a Universal Simulation Platform for Wireless Systems Hu Weidong School of Information Science and Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology, 100081 Wang Qinying Lv Xin Abstract: The simulation of wireless systems is very necessary for design. Based on the proficient application of Ansoft\'s large software package and various Matlab toolboxes, this paper proposes to make full use of the advantages of the two software to build a universal simulation platform for wireless systems, complete the whole system simulation tasks from antenna design, RF circuit and system simulation, frequency synthesis simulation, baseband signal processing simulation, etc., provide a reference for the selection of system parameters, and thus optimize the system design. Keywords: Ansoft 1 Introduction Today\'s radar and communication technology are developing rapidly, new devices, new processes, new technologies, and new products are emerging in an endless stream. At the same time, various EDA software have matured one after another. There are different professional software for different fields, which provides strong support for the completion of design and shortens the development cycle. For wireless systems such as radar and communication, they can usually be divided into several parts according to their functions, including antenna feed part, RF transceiver part, frequency source part, and baseband signal processing part. The baseband processing part includes source coding and decoding, channel coding and decoding, interleaving and deinterleaving, spread spectrum despreading, modulation and demodulation, channel adaptive equalization, etc. After the concept of software radio was proposed, all baseband processing can be implemented on general DSP and large-scale programmable logic devices. However, at the beginning of system design, various parameters of the system, working mode, and feasibility of software algorithm implementation must be determined. Therefore, it is necessary to simulate each module of the system and the whole system. Matlab wireless system general simulation platform 2 Using Ansoft software and Matlab to build a wireless system general simulation platform Ansoft has launched large-scale software including HFSS, a three-dimensional electromagnetic field analysis software, Ensemble, a planar circuit simulation software, Serenade, a system simulation and RF circuit analysis software, and SIwave, a high-speed circuit signal integrity analysis software. This can complete the unit selection and optimization during antenna design, simulation analysis of feed network design, simulation analysis of each unit index of RF circuit, and layout and wiring guidance of high-speed digital circuits. Matlab integrates many professional toolboxes, such as letter...
