In order to avoid the system instability caused by the stator flux oriented control of the doubly fed asynchronous generator (DFIG), and to verify the control performance of the stator voltage orientation (SVO) of the DFIG, the stator voltage orientation of the DFIG was studied. Firstly, the advantages of stator voltage orientation over stator flux orientation were introduced, and then the expression of stator voltage oriented control was derived based on the mathematical model of DFIG, and its control block diagram was given. Finally, the control algorithm was verified in the Matlab/Simulink simulation environment. The results show that stator voltage control can control DFIG well and is a control method with excellent performance.
