With the development of social economy, the quality requirements of plate and strip products are getting higher and higher, and the requirements for precision are also getting higher and higher. Many original production lines can no longer meet the requirements. This article takes the cold-rolled aluminum foil production line control system of Zhenjiang Dingsheng Aluminum Processing Plant as an example, and explains how to use NI LabVIEW RT and PXI hardware to develop a plate thickness monitoring and control system based on NI programmable automation controller (PAC) as the core from the aspects of system overall design, control strategy, software and hardware configuration, data information flow processing and controller design. The system completes the functions of high-speed data acquisition, logic control and data display, can perform high-precision real-time monitoring and has a faster response time than traditional PLC to ensure continuous operation. With the continuous development of market demand, while users\' demand for various types of plates is growing sharply, they also put forward higher requirements for the quality and material accuracy of plates, especially for cold-rolled thin plates with thickness accuracy deviation of only a few microns. After years of development, a variety of AGC systems have been developed, and combined with advanced hardware technology, the plate thickness control accuracy has been greatly improved. Based on the hydraulic AGC technology, this paper establishes a PAC platform based on PXI and LabVIEW RT, which is very suitable for high-precision monitoring, real-time data acquisition and precise data analysis. It can monitor the thickness of the plate in real time and control the meter with a fast and certain response time. The hydraulic AGC control system presses the plate according to the input signal to ensure that the plate and strip reach the thickness accuracy required for rolling.
