System outage performance of opportunistic network coding

This paper studies the relay strategy based on network coding in a wireless communication environment where two users transmit data to a base station through the cooperation of a relay node. Different from the usual assumption that \"the channel from user to relay is reliable\", this paper assumes that all channels have fading phenomena and compares the effects of the replication retransmission relay strategy, deterministic network coding strategy and opportunistic network coding strategy on the system outage probability. The simulation results show that the opportunistic network coding relay strategy has better performance.
