Starting from the basic principle of stepped frequency technology, this paper derives the processing method and basic steps of synthesizing wide-bandwidth signals using narrow pulses. Aiming at the relative motion between radar and target, a method of relative radial motion compensation is proposed, and then the synthetic bandwidth technology is applied to high-range resolution SAR imaging. Aiming at the motion of the carrier along the heading, methods of motion compensation are proposed in the cases of positive side view and large squint, and experimental simulation and measured data processing results are given. At the end of the article, a method of compensating for the influence of the high-speed motion of the target on the synthetic bandwidth is proposed, and experimental simulation results are given.
