By analyzing the working mode of BT, the most popular P2P software, it is found that its content distribution algorithm causes uneven distribution of file fragments among network nodes, affecting system efficiency. This paper proposes a content distribution algorithm based on seed control, which can effectively avoid the generation of rare fragments and make the number of fragments owned by each node basically equal. The new and old systems are evaluated and compared in terms of single distribution time, content diversity on nodes, and average download time. Simulation test results show that the system with the new algorithm reduces the average download time and improves the robustness and overall efficiency of the system.
