A fault diagnosis method for power electronic rectifiers based on PCA-neural network is proposed. First, the principal component analysis (PCA) method is used to extract the feature vector of the fault signal, and then the neural network is trained and tested. The experimental results of thyristor open circuit fault diagnosis in three-phase controlled rectifier circuits show that this method can simplify the structure of the neural network, improve the training speed of the network, and obtain good diagnostic results.
