Introduction to the assembly process of FPC flexible circuit board

1. Preparation of assembly tools The preparation of tools is very important in the whole process of flexible circuit board production. The tools required for general circuit board assembly include assembly jig, vacuum adsorption table and pin processing, etc. 2. Assembly environment The environment has a great influence on the assembly of FPC soft boards. Most soft boards and assembly parts have a certain degree of water absorption, which requires that the environment must maintain a low humidity during the assembly process, or be pre-baked, otherwise it may cause problems such as part breakage or bubbles in the protective film after the assembly is completed. : 3. Parts attachment process In this process, we first need to use a printed solder paste machine to tin the pad, then use a chip machine to mount the chip, and finally use a glue dispenser to apply glue on the contact point. The chip attachment procedure is completed. : 4. Contact welding This process can be divided into manual and machine operations. Manual welding is generally used for small batches and fewer parts in the production of soft boards. Due to the high temperature during welding, the soft bar will not be flat throughout the process, so the visual control welding method is still unstable. The cost of using a large number of bonding techniques is also relatively low, reducing the dependence of welding on personnel skills. After welding is completed, conductive glue is applied where conductivity needs to be enhanced. 5. Cleaning and Inspection After assembly, clean the product and then visually inspect whether there are any defects. The inspection items include: whether there are any missing parts, part position deviation, empty soldering or cold soldering, and whether there are any tinning problems on parts.
