Real-time Algorithms for Flight Management Problems

This paper discusses a model for flight management in a certain area to avoid aircraft collisions. Two solutions, direct search and nonlinear programming, are proposed. The two methods are organically combined to obtain an algorithm that takes less than 10 seconds to calculate on a 486 microcomputer and has an error of no more than 0.01 degrees, which fully meets the requirements of the problem.
