The brightness of LED is measured in lumens, unlike traditional tungsten bulbs which are measured in watts. Tungsten bulbs generate heat and are easily burned out due to long-term use. However, LEDs require current to emit light, which is electroluminescence. Although heat energy is generated, it is relatively low, so the current will affect the brightness of the LED. When you first use a brand new battery, it will be brighter because of sufficient current. After a period of time, the brightness will gradually weaken due to power attenuation. This is the characteristic of LEDs and not a bad LED. In addition, LED flashlights can be used longer than traditional flashlights. Although traditional flashlights are always bright, they will become unusable when the battery is out of power, leaving users wondering when to buy batteries first. However, after the light source of an LED flashlight begins to fade, users can tell that they can buy batteries by looking at the light source. They just need to replace the batteries with new ones.
