This paper proposes a new type of charge pump high power factor quasi-half-bridge converter topology. The converter has the characteristics of simple circuit structure and ordinary PWM control method. The working process of the circuit and the conditions for obtaining high power factor are analyzed in this paper, and the circuit parameter design guidance is given. The correctness of the theoretical analysis is confirmed by simulation and experiment. The purpose of achieving high power factor without using a dedicated control chip is achieved. Keywords: power factor correction, converter, charge pump, pulse width modulation.
