        This paper introduces and discusses the composition and key technologies of 10Gbit/s EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network) asymmetric ONU (Optical Network Unit) optical modules, especially the composition of the transmitting hardware circuit and the principle of digital APC (Automatic Optical Power Control). At the same time, it also introduces the implementation of the receiving part, gives a reasonable design scheme and verifies it through experiments. The experimental results show that the optical module designed by this scheme can meet the requirements of international standards and can be widely used in the field of optical communications.
