The principle of soft logic control system based on S3C44B0X and IEC 61131-3 standard is introduced; the method of how to implement soft logic control of IEC 61131-3 standard under uClinux system is given; an I/O mapping mechanism is proposed to solve the association problem between I/O variables defined by programming system and actual physical I/O ports. Keywords: IEC 61131-3 standard; uClinux; soft logic; S3C44B0X ARM series controller is one of the most popular embedded controllers at present, with the characteristics of small size, low power consumption, low cost and high performance, and has been widely used in information appliances, industrial control, wireless communication and other fields. S3C44B0X is a 32-bit embedded processor based on ARM7TDMI core produced by Samsung. The chip has powerful on-chip functions and is a cost-effective solution developed by Samsung for application fields such as handheld devices. It is particularly suitable for multi-task systems with large and complex programs, and has a very broad application prospect. Soft logic control, also known as soft PLC, is the use of software to implement the basic functions of standard hardware PLC. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) released the IEC1131-3 standard for industrial control software programming in 1993, which was renamed the IEC 61131-3 standard in 1999 [1,2,3]. This standard solves the limitations of traditional hardware manufacturers\' products such as incompatibility and poor universality. The soft logic control system based on this standard can make full use of the hardware and software resources of PCs or embedded controllers, greatly improving the programming software quality and development efficiency of industrial control systems and saving investment [4].
