In the past few decades, semiconductor technology has achieved rapid development and has also played a huge role in promoting the development of modern communication technology. In particular, the application of mobile communication technology has been greatly promoted. From the emergence of the first generation of commercial analog mobile communication technology in the 1980s to the promotion of the third generation (3G) digital mobile communication technology today, in just over 20 years, mobile communication technology has experienced rapid development, and billions of ordinary users around the world have experienced the great convenience brought by mobile communication technology to society. By the end of 2006, there were more than 2 billion mobile communication users in the world, and the number of users is still growing rapidly. Among them, there are 400 million users in China, accounting for one-fifth of the world\'s mobile communication users. It can be said that China is the largest focus of the global mobile communication market. With the development and application of mobile communication technology entering the third generation, especially when the two third generation (3G) mobile communication technologies WCDMA and CDMA2000 are put into commercial use in more and more countries around the world, the world\'s attention is on the Chinese mobile communication market. This is not only because China is the largest mobile communication market, but more importantly, as one of the three international 3G technology standards, TD-SCDMA is a mobile communication standard independently proposed by China, and is highly expected by countless people. As an international mobile communication standard with independent intellectual property rights in China, it has not been officially put into commercial use in China. One of the important reasons is that TD-SCDMA mobile terminal products have become a major bottleneck in its formal commercialization process, and TD-SCDMA terminal RF chips have become one of the bottlenecks restricting its rapid commercialization. After several months of scientific research, RDA Microelectronics has successfully developed the world\'s first CMOS single-chip TD-SCDMA/GSM dual-mode mobile phone terminal RF chip. This article will introduce the characteristics, functions and application principles of this chip in detail.
