Sensorless Switched Reluctance Motor Control Based on Motorola DSP5680x Series (Part 2): The sensorless SR application in this article is implemented on Motorola\'s motor control development platform. AC induction motors, permanent magnet synchronous motors, DC brushless motors and switched reluctance motors can be controlled using the development boards of this platform. Figure 3 is a block diagram of the hardware configuration of this application. It includes the DSP56F805EVM board, 3-phase SR amplifier and SR motor. The two boards are connected together through the UNI3 interface, and all control signals (PWM, brake) and feedback analog signals (voltage, current, temperature) are transmitted through this interface. If necessary, a separation board can be inserted between the control board and the power board, which can visually separate all control signals and feedback signals in a 1:1 ratio between input and output. Due to safety reasons, it is particularly important to use a separation board in development. This configuration makes this platform suitable for developing almost any type of motor control application.
