The measurement results of a reading microscope (with an accuracy of 0.001mm) are usually used as the final reference standard. During actual measurement, if the minimum thickness of a roll of wire is less than the specified value by more than 2Mils, the roll of wire is judged to be unqualified. If the measured value is less than the specified value by no more than 2Mils, two samples should be taken from the roll of wire at a distance of 1 foot. If one of the results is less than the minimum value, the roll of wire is judged to be unqualified. If both measured values meet the standard, it is judged to be qualified.
