Kakuro Sudoku Problem: The peculiar name of Sudoku comes from the Japanese word Sudoku, which was invented by the Swiss mathematician Euler in the 18th century. It was later developed in the United States and flourished in Japan. The rules of Sudoku are very simple, that is, fill in numbers in the 9×9 nine-square grid, and fill in the appropriate numbers in each square so that each row, each column and each nine-square grid must contain numbers from 1 to 9 and they are different from each other. The gameplay logic of Sudoku is simple, and the number arrangement methods are ever-changing. Many educators believe that Sudoku is a good way to exercise the brain. A number of numbers will be pre-filled in the puzzle, and the other squares are blank. Players have to logically deduce what numbers are in the remaining spaces according to the distribution of numbers in the puzzle. Because the rules are simple, there is no need to use mathematical calculations in the deduction, only logical reasoning ability, so everyone, regardless of gender, age or young, can play, and it is easy to get started and easy to get addicted. There are many Sudoku clubs around the world, and some countries such as France have specially held Sudoku competitions, which shows how popular it is. At present, some modified Sudoku puzzles are popular on the Internet, and Kakuro Sudoku is one of them. Figure 1 is a Kakuro Sudoku puzzle with a higher difficulty level. The rules of Kakuro Sudoku are as follows: 1. Fill in the blanks with numbers 1-9; the number 0 cannot appear. 2. For squares with slashes, the number above the slash is equal to the sum of the numbers in the corresponding set of horizontal spaces to the right of the square; the number below the slash is equal to the sum of the numbers in the corresponding set of vertical spaces below the square. 3. The same number can only appear once in each set of horizontal (vertical) spaces.
