In the precision agriculture technology system, farmland data collection is a basic work and also a weak link in related research in my country. In response to this demand, this paper designs an embedded farmland data collection system. This system can complete the functions of farmland spatial information collection, agricultural sensor information collection and agricultural machinery navigation. In the design process of the system, various factors such as performance, power consumption, cost, scalability and operating environment are taken into consideration; the hardware platform uses a high-performance, low-power 32-bit embedded microprocessor - Intel Xscale PXA270; the embedded real-time operating system chooses Microsoft Windows CE5.0.
