Quantum mechanics is one of the most successful theories in the 20th century, and matter wave is one of the concepts that plays a decisive role in the process of quantum mechanics from its establishment to completion. Starting from the establishment and development process of quantum mechanics, this paper gives an argument for the relationship between quantum mechanics and matter wave: the establishment process of quantum mechanics is the process of understanding matter wave; the framework of quantum mechanics is completed around the wave nature (wave function) of particles; the meaning of quantum mechanics is to give a physical explanation to matter wave. At the end of the article, the author gives a possible way to resolve the \"quantum physics theory war\" based on his own point of view. Its core content is to describe the wave-particle duality of microscopic particles - the motion law of microscopic particles is similar to the motion of waves; and when microscopic particles are measured by some experimental means, they also reflect the properties of classical particles, such as momentum, mass, and charge - these seemingly contradictory properties are unified in the concept of matter wave. Although we still have doubts about quantum mechanics, its success has been confirmed by countless experiments, and mathematics has proved that it is also self-consistent. Its internal system has become almost impeccable. Therefore, we can only make a breakthrough from the outside, from its assumptions. We will see that the establishment process of quantum mechanics is the process of understanding matter waves. 2.1 The beginning of quantum physics 2.1.1 The proposal of energy quantization On December 14, 1900, at a meeting of the German Physical Society, Planck read his paper \"Theory of Energy Distribution in Normal Spectra\". This article, which almost no one paid attention to at the beginning, introduced Planck\'s constant h by using the interpolation method, which beautifully solved one of the two dark clouds in 20th century physics - the problem of black body radiation, thus opening a new era of physics. People also regard the date of publication of this article as the birth of quantum physics.
