A novel circularly polarized receiving rectenna for microwave energy transmission is proposed. A circular microstrip antenna with a slotted inner ring is used as the receiving antenna. The axial ratio is 1.2dB at an operating frequency of 5.8cHz, and a Schottky barrier diode is used as the rectifying part. By measuring the energy conversion efficiency and output power of the receiving rectenna, it is proved that it is very suitable for microwave energy transmission between moving objects.
