When using CCD (charge coupled device) to shoot long range targets, atmospheric turbulence causes image distortion, which makes CCD unable to be effectively used for long distance target recognition and monitoring. Therefore, this article analyzed the principle of atmospheric turbulence and its main influence on the image, and proposed an effective method to overcome the influence of atmospheric turbulence. Experiments have proved that good results have been achieved.
