For a high-voltage motor controlled by a vacuum circuit breaker , if
the vacuum circuit breaker is improperly adjusted, it can easily cause the motor
to run out of phase. If not discovered in time, it may cause the motor to burn
out. Therefore, it is necessary to install a high-voltage motor phase failure protection device.
The circuit is shown in Figure 4-56. In the figure, KAi and KAz are overcurrent
or current quick-break protection relays; KA3, KA4, and
KA5 are overcurrent relays for phase failure protection; KS is a signal
relay; KT is a time relay; and KC is an intermediate relay
.
