If the relay is to be controlled by a certain signal or a small DC voltage,
the circuit in Figure 6 3 can be used. This circuit is different from Figure 6 2 in that a triode VT2 is added. VTz acts as an electronic lock.
Both relays work in the economical state, and their power loss
can be reduced by 2/3 to 4/5.
The resistance of the current limiting resistor R3 can be calculated by the following formula:
