As shown in the figure, adding a transistor VT as an inverter forms a light-controlled normally open AC contactor.
The working principle of the circuit is: when there is no light, the AC power supply is rectified through the AC contactor KM, the resistor R1 and the bridge rectifier VD3~VD4, and a DC voltage of more than ten volts is obtained at both ends A and B. The polarity of the A end is Positive, B terminal is negative. When there is no light, the light-controlled thyristor VTL is in the off state. At this time, VT obtains a bias current through R2 and is turned on. The voltage across the capacitor C is clamped to a range lower than the turning voltage of the bidirectional trigger diode VTD2, so VTD2 is turned off. , VTD1 is turned off, and KM is in the disconnected state. This is why the AC contactor is always open.
When light shines on the photosensitive surface of the light-controlled thyristor , VTL is turned on and VT is turned off. The capacitor C quickly establishes a potential higher than the turning voltage of the bidirectional trigger diode VTD2, causing VTD1 to turn on and KM to pull in.
