Homemade CNC plotter

I will use the efficient and most useful CLC plotter from the old printer machine - CLC Plotter. This is a graphic printer that draws images with a pen.

1) Take both steppers off the old printer using the appropriate tools.

2) Use spray paint to paint the stepper.

3) Arrange a frame for fixing the stepper group using aluminum square tubes.

Steppers fixed to the frame. (X & Y axis)

Use nuts and bolts to secure it on the X and Y axes

Make a pen holder that can move up and down.

Here I used a compass pen holder.

A servo motor is provided to control the movement of the pen.

Springs are provided for better movement.

Fix the carriage part on the Y axis.

Pass the motor's connecting wire through the aluminum square tube

Fixing CNC shield V3 on Arduino UNO R3 (both boards have the same size here).

A4988 stepper motor driver for controlling the X-axis and Y-axis stepper motors. Connect the motor driver to the CNC shield as shown. Use the 6 jumper pins to connect the pins below the driver board area.

Put the board inside a plastic box and place a cooling fan inside the box. Provide a few holes for uploading code and power supply as shown in the picture.

Two USB female ports are provided on the plastic housing for connecting the X-axis motor control and the Y-axis motor control. The pin board and the USB female ports are connected using jumper cables.

Fix a USB male port on the stepper motor's wires and connect it to the controller box.

Screw and secure the base plate at the bottom of the CLC plotter using plywood.

Secure the pen to the pen holder and connect it to the laptop. Use a USB A to USB B cable and also connect a 12v power supply

Use INKSCAP software to convert photos and text into INK files.
